Our Story
Hoskins Interior Design has a long history here in Indianapolis. Deanna Hoskins started our firm over 20 years ago, after building and leading the design team at a local well-known furniture store. Her clients followed her and Kathy joined her soon after. Deanna and Kathy worked side–by-side until Deanna retired in 2017, selling the business to Kathy. Once a client, our office manager Terri’s role has evolved since joining us in 2006. Our team has continued to grow, with Madelyn coming on board in 2015 followed by Chelsea in 2020. We have a supportive group of clients, contractors, architects, furnishings suppliers and workrooms that we have developed over our years as Hoskins Interior Design. We treasure these relationships as they have all contributed to the success we enjoy today.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Hoskins Interior Design, we strive to create strong relationships with our clients and project partners by serving them with integrity and professionalism. We take our leadership role in a design project seriously, with a focus on protecting the home improvement investment by proposing realistic, carefully considered, yet unique solutions to design challenges. Attention to detail is key. We add value to a project through our depth of knowledge, creativity and vast resources.
Our team is approachable, friendly and fun-loving. We have the privilege of doing what we love for a living and hope to make the design process enjoyable for our clients.
OUR TEAM

Kathy Hoskins
Before coming to Hoskins Interior Design, Kathy spent 15 years at an architectural firm working side by side with architects, engineers and contractors. That valuable experience has enabled her to spend the next 20 years offering high-quality full-service interior design services to her clients. Beyond concise organization and attention to detail, Kathy brings an artful eye to her projects. Kathy’s keen aptitude for honing in on a client’s vision enables her to create beautiful, livable designs. Whether designing for a new construction or renovation, Kathy specializes in the architectural detailing that makes a home truly special – for example, selecting countertop and flooring materials; choosing custom cabinetry; and designing mantles, kitchen hoods, tile patterns, and lighting plans. “The details are not the details. They make the design.”(Charles Eames) guides her approach to creating unique spaces for her clients.

Terri Meadows
Terri was a former client of Kathy’s before she joined the Hoskins Team over 10 years ago. Originally hired as their part-time design library organizer, she is now involved in most aspects of the business, helping in customer service, pricing and ordering, delivery coordination and office management. Terri has earned her master’s degree in education, and enjoys directing children’s musicals at her church. She loves being a part of the creative culture at Hoskins Interior Design.

Madelyn Fry
Madelyn has been a residential interior design for more than 5 years, designing for houses, apartments and leasing office projects. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s in design with minors in studio art and English. Madelyn enjoys creating a space entirely unique to the personality of the client, using a combination of custom furniture and finishes with architectural detailing. Her love of art and history led her to explore historical neighborhood districts both here in Indiana and abroad. She is personally inspired by ceramics, painting, reading, historical architecture and interiors.

Chelsea Fulkerson
Chelsea has been a residential interior designer since 2018, prior to that she was a commercial interior designer working with furniture and finishes. Before coming to Hoskins Interior Design, Chelsea was with a luxury custom home builder that worked extensively with combining the home building process with the design process. She continues to implement that knowledge into creating well designed homes for her clients from the architecture to the details. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s in design with a minor in studio art. In her free time she can be found curled up with a good book, out on a hiking trail, or drawing in her home studio.
